The International Office at the Esslingen branch of the State Academy

The International Office is located in the Esslingen branch of the State Academy for In-Service Training and Human Resources Development for Schools, Esslingen . The Esslingen branch of the State Academy is the competence centre for the further education of teaching staff at vocational schools in Baden-Württemberg. We at the International Office work in close cooperation with the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. In addition we collaborate with partners from business, administration and science. This collaboration involves the development of international vocational training projects.
In Baden-Württemberg, the State Academy located in Esslingen is, with its International Office, the central contact partner for international vocational training projects.

Our projects support processes in vocational training worldwide:
We initiate international cooperation programmes and thus facilitate the implementation of educational opportunities for our project partners.
The International Office supports and qualifies those involved in vocational training at home and abroad by maintaining a regular, active exchange of experience on an international basis.
Our organisation is certified according to ISO and offers a very high degree of quality.
An education system that is open to new ideas and the regular intercultural exchange form the framework for our activities. In the process, we support our project partners who, in the context of globalisation, implement such important factors as flexibility, mobility and sustainable education.

The experience gained in this international working environment flows not only into the further development of our own education system but also into the education systems of our partners.

Our expertise lies in:

• giving detailed insights into the vocational education and training (VET) system of Baden- Württemberg;
• developing – in cooperation with international partners – individually tailored educational concepts for the further education of teachers;
• giving advice on the further development of the education system and the development of individual schools;
• giving support in the further development of quality management systems;
• acting either as a partner or the initiator in the implementation of current issues relating to vocational training policies, e.g. in EU projects;
• conducting training courses for teaching and management staff from vocational schools in Baden-Württemberg;
• supporting schools in developing their international VET projects.

We share our international experience with our project partners and involve qualified specialist teachers from schools in Baden-Württemberg in the process.
We support our customers with a wide educational network.
In the dialogue with our partners, we learn with them and from them.

We are teachers with experience on various levels of vocational education and training in Baden-Württemberg and we bring our diverse professional and didactical/pedagogical skills into play in our international projects.
We are teachers with teaching experience and with expert knowledge in the fields of teacher training and further education as well as of school administration.  We bring our multi-faceted professional and didactical-pedagogical skills into play in our international projects.
We meet new situations with curiosity, openness and zest in order to make use of manifold opportunities and tackle interesting projects together.
